Please make sure to arrange your transportation prior to your arrival at the island – we are happy to offer a private driver hire and a helicopter transfer from Auckland.

Jeff and I have just spent the long weekend here and were so impressed from the very start. Brilliant communications on the inclusions and services ahead of our arrival and the exceptionally warm welcome we received on arrival.

We were treated to a site inspection of all the Villas, each with its own personality, but without question some of the finest finishes and designs I’ve experienced for some time. Omana has a modern aesthetic, beautiful art, cutlery & glass ware, state of the art technology in the kitchenette, across the appliances and temperature control.

Everything has been thought of, pre booking dinner reservations for you, or offering you something delicious to enjoy in your room, hand delivered. A maid service, later checkout. A yummy and healthy French breakfast arrives in the morning and you can enjoy endless coffees from the excellent machine in your own kitchenette.

We drove, and having the car was perfect for exploring Waiheke island, and its multitude of things to do, even in winter this place is a playground. For those who choose not to drive there are operators on the island who can save you bother and allow you to enjoy some of the remarkable wines made on the island. We loved Point Kennedy Syrah 2021 that has just won an award.

Jeff loved the variety of birdlife teaming around the property – largely due to the huge amount of planting undertaken my owners Silmara and Cobus. They continue this work with a tree planted for each booking. We both loved watching the sun come up each morning, seeing the ocean and landscape come into view as the sea fog lifted. We were fortunate to on our first night to enjoy a star filled sky – as we huddled up on the extremely comfortable couch on the large balcony with our complimentary hot chocolate.

The calibre of the technology is impressive, compendium via ipad, a very cool mart TV that stiches between vertical and landscape and the kitchen appliances. The bath-tub and the beds are the stuff dreams are made of….
