Adventurers young and old will find a great choice of activities on land and on water and even in the air. Hiking, sea kayaking, sailing, cruising, mountain biking, rafting, scenic flights, fishing, diving, horse trekking, or just relaxing and enjoying the views: from laid back to full adrenaline rush, there is an experience waiting for you in Marlborough.

Marlborough is an area rich in history and culture, and is home to many artists and artisan craftspeople that draw their inspiration from the region’s diverse landscapes. You can get to know Marlborough with a visit to one of its many historical landmarks, or there is the Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre with World War One aircraft scenes brought to life by Weta Workshops. You can also follow the popular art and craft trail and do a little gift shopping along the way: you may even find something special to buy for yourself among the paintings, pottery and other local crafts and creations to remind you of your time here in Marlborough.

Marlborough is New Zealand’s largest wine growing region. Its unique blend of terroir and climate is well suited for producing award winning Sauvignon Blanc whilst its long ripening season is also ideal for the many superb aromatics, elegant Chardonnays, fine sparkling wines and rich Pinot Noirs produced by the region’s many wineries.

Marlborough also has a deliciously diverse range of wild foods and local produce. These are used by the region’s talented chefs to create a tantalising array of gourmet delights, washed down of course by a glass of your favourite Marlborough wine or locally brewed beer.
